Bars and Bells Challenge

The Bars & Bells Challenge is a 4-Week strength training program designed to help women build real, balanced strength through a combination of upper body calisthenics and lower body weight training.

It focuses on developing control, confidence, and physical capability using two training styles that work together: “Bars” representing calisthenics based upper body work like push ups, pull ups, and bodyweight strength movements, and “Bells” representing lower body strength training using dumbbells and resistance based exercises.

The challenge is built for women who want to feel stronger in their body without needing complicated gym routines or extreme programs. It is structured, progressive, and beginner friendly, while still challenging enough to help you grow.

The goal is not just aesthetics, but building a body that can perform, move with control, and feel powerful in everyday life, whether training at home, in a gym, or anywhere in between.

Hi! I’m Coach Amari

I'm a calisthenics athlete, model, former Division I track and field athlete, and coach focused on helping women redefine what strength looks like.

My journey has lived in two worlds: fitness and fashion. As a model, I learned how to express femininity and creativity while constantly being shaped by beauty standards. As an athlete, I built my body through discipline, performance, and calisthenics, learning to value what my body can do rather than only how it looks. Over time, I realized I did not have to choose between being strong and being feminine.

That belief is what led me to create Beyond the Bar. My coaching combines upper body calisthenics and lower body strength training to help women build real strength, gain confidence, and develop skills while still embracing their femininity.

My goal is to help you feel strong in your body, confident in your movement, and proud of both your strength and your softness.
